Terms and Conditions
Last updated July 31, 2026
These terms cover the use of this website and membership in Valley Connect. Applying or taking a seat means you agree to them.
What Valley Connect is
Valley Connect is a referral group for home service and real estate professionals in the Phoenix area. Members meet, describe the work they want, and pass business to each other. That is the whole of it. It is not an agency, a lead vendor, a franchise, a licensing body, or a guarantee of income.
Applying is not membership
Submitting the form on this site is an application, not an acceptance. We may decline any application for any lawful reason, and we may hold a category open, closed, or pending at our discretion. Seat availability shown on this site is our best current understanding and can change without notice.
One seat per category
Each membership category is held by one member at a time. Categories, and where the line between two categories falls, are defined by the group. If your work spans more than one category, we will agree which seat you hold before you take it.
Attendance, and losing your seat
Membership depends on participation. Missing two meetings returns your category to the open board, and it may then be given to someone else. That rule is applied evenly, and it is what keeps the group worth belonging to.
Dues
Membership carries dues. The current amount, what it covers, and how it is paid are explained to you during your application call, before you take a seat and before any payment is due. Dues are not collected through this website. Unless we tell you otherwise in writing, dues already paid are not refunded if you leave or lose your seat.
Referrals are between members
When one member refers another, that is an introduction between two independent businesses. Valley Connect is not a party to any resulting agreement, is not an agent for either side, does not take a commission, and is not responsible for the work performed, the price charged, or anything that goes wrong between them. Any dispute is between the businesses involved.
We do not vet or warrant members
Read this one twice. Valley Connect does not verify, endorse, guarantee, or warrant any member's licensing, bonding, insurance, qualifications, workmanship, pricing, or business practices. Membership is not a recommendation and is not a substitute for your own due diligence. Before you hire or refer anyone, check their license and insurance yourself. In Arizona, contractor licenses can be verified with the Registrar of Contractors, and real estate licenses with the Arizona Department of Real Estate.
Your responsibilities as a member
- Hold and maintain every license, bond, and insurance policy your trade requires.
- Give an accurate account of your business, your services, and your credentials.
- Treat referrals given to you with the same care you would give your own best client, because they came from someone's reputation.
- Comply with the laws that govern your trade and your advertising.
- Do not use member contact information for bulk marketing, list building, or resale.
Removal
We may end a membership at any time, including for missed meetings, misrepresentation, losing a required license, conduct that damages the group's reputation, or misuse of member information. We would rather talk about it first, and usually will.
No guarantee of results
We make no promise about how many referrals you will receive, what they will be worth, or that you will receive any at all. What you get out of a referral group tracks what you put into it, and nothing on this site should be read as a projection of income.
Independent businesses
Nothing here creates a partnership, joint venture, franchise, employment, or agency relationship between Valley Connect and any member, or between members. Every member remains an independent business responsible for its own operations, taxes, and obligations.
This website
We keep the information on this site accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it is error free or continuously available. The Valley Connect name and logo belong to Valley Connect. Do not submit false information, do not submit an application on someone else's behalf without their permission, and do not attempt to disrupt or overload the site.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent Arizona law allows, Valley Connect and its organizers are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost business, arising out of membership, a referral, or use of this website. This does not limit any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the current version, and continuing as a member after a change means you accept it.
