Valley Connect is a referral network for home service and real estate professionals in the Phoenix area. This policy describes exactly what this website collects, why, and what happens to it. It describes what we actually do, not what a template says.

What we collect

When you fill out the application form on this site, you give us the information you type into it:

• Your name and your business name
• The membership category you are applying for
• Your phone number and email address
• Optionally, your website, who referred you, and anything you write in the notes field

Our hosting provider also records standard technical information with every request, including your IP address, browser type, and the pages you requested. That happens on essentially every website and we do not use it to build a profile of you.

To limit abuse of the application form, your IP address is held briefly in memory to count how many times that address has submitted the form. It is not written to a database and is not retained.

What we do not collect

• We do not set advertising or analytics cookies on this site.
• We do not run advertising pixels or third-party trackers.
• We do not ask for or store payment card details anywhere on this site.
• We do not buy, sell, rent, or trade your information. Ever, for any reason.

Why we collect it

One purpose: to review your application and get in touch with you about it. If you become a member, we use your contact details to run the group, which means meeting information, member communications, and passing referrals to you.

Who it is shared with

Your application is sent to the people who organize Valley Connect. Beyond that, the only parties who touch your information are the services that make the site work:

• Vercel hosts this website and processes requests to it.
• Google Fonts serves the typeface used on these pages, which means your browser requests a file from Google and Google sees your IP address in doing so.
• Google (Gmail) carries the email that delivers your application to the organizers.

If you are accepted and take a seat, your name, business, category, and contact details are shared with the other members, because being reachable by them is the entire point of a referral group. Nothing you write in the notes field is shared without asking you first.

We will disclose information if we are legally required to, and for no other reason.

How long we keep it

Applications are kept while we are considering them and for as long as you are a member. If your application is declined or you leave the group, tell us and we will delete your information. If you do not, we may keep it in our email records, which is simply how email works.

Your choices

Ask us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Ask us to stop contacting you and we will stop. Use the application form on this site to reach us, or reply to any email you have received from us.

Email and text messages

Submitting the application form is your agreement that we may contact you about it by email or phone. If we ever add automated text messaging, we will ask for your explicit consent first, separately, and it will never be a condition of membership.

Security

This site is served entirely over HTTPS. The application form is rate limited and protected against automated submissions. No payment information is handled on this site. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise, but we hold as little about you as possible, which is the most effective protection there is.

Children

This site is for business owners and professionals. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
